I feel it in the air.

The crisp cool wind of autumn change contrasted with the warmth of the sun. It feels like a new fresh phase emerging. Not only do I feel it in nature but I’m feeling it in my own life. Change and uncertainty have shown up at my door.

So how should we deal with change and maybe the feelings of uncertainty and insecurity? Well your attitude has a lot to do with it. For me personally I am trying to stay calm, take a breath and remind myself that change is an opportunity not a curse. Change is one thing we can all count on in this life. But it is so easy to get pulled into worry and fear of the unknown. If you honestly think about it, every day is filled with uncertainty and new possibilities. We just get so used to routine that we forget situations can change in an instant. We think we will have that same job, the car will start tomorrow or people will remain in our lives forever. But this could all change at any moment. It’s not good or bad but an opportunity and a challenge for us to grow.

To worry about infinite possibilities is a waste of energy. Decide to view change as a new breath you need to take in order to move forward in your life. I think the reason change can be so difficult is because it feels like it’s not on our terms. Like being let go from a job feels different than quitting a job. The end result is the same but your view and attitude can be totally different. But it’s possible that in both instances you manifested the leaving of your current job. One way was just more on the subconscious level.

What I’m trying to say is don’t fear change and see it as a negative challenge, see it as a new possibility to grow, transform, and learn something new about yourself. Welcome every day with a new appreciation for change to come into your life. Let go of attachment to the way things were and live in the present moment to the way things are now. To worry about the future is a drain of energy because there are infinite possibilities that can make your mind go crazy trying to anticipate what may come. I welcome a new opportunity to present itself today, may the changing winds blow my way.
